Meet the Teachers

Charles Boo has completed his Grade 10 RCM piano certification and is a clarinetist for the KW Symphony Youth Orchestra. He has competed at multiple Kiwanis Music Festivals and the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association provincial piano competition, and received multiple scholarships for his performances in both the piano and the clarinet. He has taught basic level clarinet, volunteered at the Renaissance School of the Arts and KW Symphony Orchestra's "My First Music Lesson" camp as an assistant instructor, and was a junior leader at the University of Waterloo's Engineering Science Quest summer camp. As a student at Waterloo Collegiate Institute, he also works part-time at Kumon Learning Center as an instructor teaching math and English.

Kitty Huang

Kitty Huang obtained her ARCT diploma with honours in piano performance, the highest standing awarded by the Royal Conservatory of music, and has also competed at the Kiwanis Music Festival and Lions Clubs Music Festival. Now a student at the University of Waterloo, Kitty also has experience teaching outside of music, as a teaching assistant at the Centre for Immigrant and Community Services, for which she received the Ontario Volunteer Service Award for her commitment to volunteer work.

Lisa Bian

Lisa Bian completed her Grade 10 RCM piano certificate with honors, and is currently working on obtaining The Associate of the Royal Conservatory diploma, the highest standing awarded by the Royal Conservatory. She has also participated in the Stratford Music Festival, the KW Kiwanis Music Festival, and the KW Symphony Orchestra's annual Music Marathon each year.
